Transient Study Options

Full Transient Study: occurs when you are not enrolled in any BCU classes, while enrolled at least half-time at another Florida public school. 

    • You must have a family or personal emergency that requires you to leave the Daytona Beach area.
    • Financial aid is limited to the actual cost of your tuition and a book allowance.

Partial Transient Study: occurs when you are enrolled at least half-time in BCU classes while also enrolled in classes at another Florida institution. 

Financial aid for partial transient study is limited to Florida Bright Futures and/or Pell Grant. You must meet one of the following conditions:

    • the course(s) are part of a partnership between BCU and a state university/college; or
    • there are no seats available at BCU for a course that is required to stay on track for graduation; or the course is not offered at BCU and if not taken that semester, your graduation will be delayed.
