Arrest Made in B-CU Shooting

March 25, 2015 - Daytona Beach, Florida - Daytona Beach Police Department (DBPD) has charged Ladell M. Pleasure, a B-CU student, with discharging a fire-arm on school property, a felony. Pleasure was arrested on probable cause after several interviews and positive identification from crime scene witnesses.  School administrators and campus public safety are actively participating with DBPD on this investigation.

"We are saddened and disappointed that this occurred on our campus.  We want our students to understand the seriousness of this type of behavior.  Our expectation is that students will seek alternative ways to resolve conflict," says President Edison O. Jackson. "B-CU has strong policies in place to handle these type of issues.  If found guilty, we will follow-up with appropriate campus judicial processes."

Since the shooting, B-CU has strengthened its safety measures to ensure that the student body and the campus are safe and secure.  President Jackson and his executive team continue to emphasize the core values of B-CU to its students.
