B-CU 2014 Homecoming Set for Oct. 5 to12

Bethune-Cookman University campus will be overflowing with excitement as alumni, students, and friends enjoy a fun-filled week of Homecoming activities Oct. 5-12. This year’s theme is “110 Degrees of Wildcat Fever: Celebrating 110 years Of Greatness and the Legacy Continues.”

Homecoming week buzzes off Sunday Oct. 5 with a community service project entitled ‘Homeless for a Night’ in which students and campus organizations gather on the quad overnight to put themselves in a homeless person’s situation. A busy week of activities will lead up to the annual homecoming parade at 9 a.m. and the football game at 4 p.m. on Saturday Oct. 11.

The grand marshals of the parade are Albert Bethune; The grandson of Mary McLeod Bethune, Joseph Petrock, whose name graces the School of Health Sciences at B-CU and Fedrick Ingram, president of United Teachers of Dade. All events are open to the public.
