B-CU to Hold Town Hall Meeting at 10 a.m. in the PAC

Daytona Beach, Fla. –  Bethune-Cookman University President Dr. Edison O. Jackson will address the B-CU family at a town hall meeting on Tuesday February 24, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in the Performing Arts Center after a shooting left three students injured on Monday evening.

The names of these students will not be released until their families have been notified. The three students sustained non-life threatening injuries. The students were treated at local hospitals and have been released. 

Two men were apprehended by campus security officers and detained by the Daytona Beach Police Department. It has been determined that the men were not involved in the shooting.

President Jackson stated, “Our public-safety officers responded swiftly to secure the campus and we are grateful that the injuries sustained by our students were non-life threatening. As a community we will gather to remind our students of the importance of upholding the core values on which this university was built.”
