External Scholarships

External Scholarship Programs


An External Scholarship will not post on a student's account until an award letter from the External Scholarship Agency has been received. It is the responsibility of the student to provide enrollment information to the organization(s) granting the scholarship. Examples of some outside agencies are: sororities, fraternities, churches, community organizations, businesses, and schools. A check from the donor must be received before the end of the semester.

District of Columbia Tuition Assistance Grant (DCTAG)

District of Columbia College Access Program (DC-CAP) Last Dollar Awards

  • Provides college "last dollar" award scholarships of up to $2,000 per year (up to five years), to DC public high school students, to help make up the difference between a student's resources, financial aid and actual college expenses.

Discovery Scholarship

  • Annual scholarship for high school juniors to support continued education and training beyond high school.

Ed Bradley/ Ken Kashiwahara Scholarships

  • Open to full-time students who are pursuing careers in radio and television news.

Ehline Law Firm Military Veteran’s Law Scholarship

  • Enrolled in an accredited Law Office Study Program, or Law School, such as a judge’s chambers, law school, or other university in the United State
  • Cumulative Grade Point Average(GPA) of 3.0 or higher
  • As stated, all vets must show proof of their honorable discharge (OTH need not apply unless cleared to “honorable”)
